How Did BTCollection LLC Started

Hello! My name is 'Mubo Sanusi and I’m the founder and owner of BT Collection

My husband is a big supporter of my business. I became entrepreneurs in 2021 with the dream of one day being financially independent. As a mother of three boys and a full time worker. I am working with Developmental disability Individual, but I knew I wanted to do more.

My inspiration of starting a business came one day after I loss my Dad through car accident which he die on the spot. I was lost, confused, depress and almost loss my seven month pregnancy.  I was on bed rest for the rest of  my pregnancy journey which lead me to call upon God and I never forget because he answered me.  By his grace, my failures help me to refocus on the ultimate goal of my life.

Even after giving birth to my son, I went through what they call postpartum. I went through risk of serious and life threatening complications after childbirth such as heavy bleeding, extreme pain, redness and more, you get what I am trying to say.

After 10 years of recovery, I suddenly, had an idea! Why not put inspirational and motivational words on apparels, by allowing them to customized/personalized or craft their own styles on shirt.

Shortly thereafter, I purchased my first Cricut Maker for $300 and bought the materials I needed to post my proud new creation on Shopify. I thought this idea was going to make me rich! But I waited, and waited; no orders came.

I was determined to make my idea work. With the competitive nature and drive I acquired as a high-level athlete to be the best, failure was not an option.

In the midst of being full-time New York State worker of Office of People with Development disabilities and around-the-clock mom, I worked-in hours of online research, continually learning new ways to use my vinyl cutter to accomplish this big dreams. Soon, we were selling  rhinestone apparel to our family, friends, and fellow co-worker, and my locals union and they started introducing me to order local union.

I had no formal business training—no classes, seminars, or education, just my Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. My Daddy taught me to give everything I got in achieving my goals, despite the odds stacked against you.

I realized I could no longer rely on the knowledge of others to grow my business. So, I began testing every product I could get my hands on, thinking of innovative ways that would benefit the industry and help our customers.

I’m truly grateful for the friends and family who helped me get through this difficult time in my life. I’m thankful for our success in such a short amount of time, and I’m here to say you can do the same!

I have learned to value each of our customers, for all their supports. To that end, my advice to you is do everything you can to take care of your friends, family, and they’ll take care of you.

I encourage you not to fear the challenge, but to embrace it. As always, please put God first and always pray during happiness or sadness and he will surely show up for you.
